Admission Process

At MCI, we want your application process to be simple and clear. Prospective students are encouraged to call our Admissions Office to schedule an in-person interview. Our team will guide you step-by-step through the requirements.

How to Apply
Step 1: Schedule an Admissions Appointment
Meet with an admissions representative to discuss your career goals and program eligibility.

Step 2: Submit Required Documents
Upload or bring your admissions checklist items.

Step 3: Complete Program Review
Review program expectations, schedule, tuition, and clinical requirements.

Step 4: Financial Aid Review (if applicable)

Step 5: Enrollment Decision

Important Student Expectations

  • Accelerated healthcare programs require significant time commitment outside of class

  • Clinical schedules may include full-time daytime hours

  • Clinical placement location may vary based on availability

  • Transportation to clinical sites is the student’s responsibility

  • Health clearances, background checks, and drug screening may be required

Admissions Checklist 

Please submit the following items by email to admissions@mcinj.edu (PDF format only – no pictures or screenshots):

  • Completed Admissions Forms 

  • High School Transcript

  • College Transcript (if applicable)

  • Current Resume

  • Government-issued Photo ID

  • Social Security Card (Do not submit through email, bring during interview

  • Two Letters of Recommendation (required only for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) & Cardiovascular Sonography (CVS) applicants)

Important: Submitting your admissions checklist by email does not guarantee acceptance. All applicants must also complete an in-person admissions interview before an enrollment decision is made.

 

Diagnostic Medical Snogaphy  & Cardiovascular Applicants

Applicants must have prior college coursework including:

✔ English / Communication (2 courses)
✔ College Math (2 courses)
✔ Medical Terminology
✔ Anatomy & Physiology I & II (with in-person labs)
✔ Physics with Lab

Minimum: 40 college credits from an accredited U.S. institution completed within the past 5 years.

Important Note: Courses must be taken through a U.S. Department of Education-recognized, accredited college or university. Coursework from independent or non-traditional online platforms may not be accepted and will be reviewed individually.

Surgical Technology

  • Minimum of an Associate Degree

  • Foreign graduates must provide:

    • Certified English translation of all required documents

    • Credential evaluation verifying U.S. degree equivalency

Important Disclosures

At MCI, our programs are designed to be accelerated and rigorous, combining classroom instruction, lab training, and clinical experience. We provide resources, guidance, and support to help you succeed—but your personal effort and commitment are critical to your success.

  • Job Placement: MCI cannot guarantee employment after graduation. We provide training and career guidance, but securing a job depends on your skills, professionalism, and effort. It may take six months or longer, and initial roles are often per-diem, temporary, or contract positions.

  • Credentialing Exams: Success on certification or licensing exams cannot be guaranteed. Your results will depend on your own study habits, preparation, and dedication.

  • Student Responsibility: To succeed, you must stay focused, manage your time effectively, and remain fully committed to the program.​​​​​​
