Continue Your Education Beyond MCI
Medical Career Institute (MCI) is proud to partner with Georgian Court University to help expand educational opportunities for our students and graduates. Through our articulation agreement with Georgian Court University, eligible MCI graduates may have the opportunity to transfer credits toward a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Health Profession Studies. This partnership helps create a seamless educational pathway for students who wish to continue their education after completing select healthcare training programs at MCI.
Understanding the MCI & Georgian Court University Transfer Pathway
Through MCI’s articulation agreement with Georgian Court University (GCU), students from select MCI programs may have the opportunity to apply previously earned credits toward a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Health Profession Studies.
Surgical Technology (ST) Transfer Pathway
Students who complete MCI’s Surgical Technology program may transfer eligible coursework toward GCU’s Bachelor of Arts in Health Profession Studies program.
Important Points:

Eligible MCI Surgical Technology coursework may transfer into the bachelor’s degree program.

Previously completed college-level general education courses may also transfer.

Students may transfer up to a maximum of 90 semester credits from all sources combined, in accordance with GCU policies.

Students are required to complete a minimum of 30 credits directly through Georgian Court University in order to earn the bachelor’s degree.

A minimum total of 120 semester credits is required to complete the degree.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) & Cardiovascular Sonography (CVS) Transfer Pathway
Students enrolled in MCI’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) or Cardiovascular Sonography (CVS) programs may also have eligible coursework reviewed for transfer into Georgian Court University’s Bachelor of Arts in Health Profession Studies program.

Eligible sonography coursework completed at MCI may transfer toward the bachelor’s degree.

Students are encouraged to speak directly with both MCI Admissions and Georgian Court University for individualized transfer advising.
